Abstract
Project of the current Custom Union between Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russian Federation originated in the Nineties and formed the basis for a wider design, aimed to create a supra-national framework for post-Soviet countries.
That report gives a systematic description ofEurasian integration process. Firstly is depicted a profile of EurAsEC, supreme body representing Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, which presided over long-period objectives, political ones included.
Then is explained the activity of the Eurasian Economic Commission, which looks after the Custom Union.
Finally, trade between European Union countries (and especially Italy) and the three Custom Union’s countries is analyzed and a final review is proposed.
